RGNIYD RC's 5- day workshop on 'Leadership and Advocacy' has kick started at Bhai Parmanand Institute of Business Studies, New Delhi for 50 participants from various states of India. This workshop was designed to explore the fundamental concepts of leadership to enable participants to develop a range of skills that will enhance young people’s ability to lead and influence policies and programmes through meaningful participation.
The workshop will significantly help participants to develop the confidence to take on a leadership role in their organization, community, and country to ensure their meaningful engagement in democracy, governance, and development process. As we are aware that young people have a body of experience unique to their situation, and they have views and ideas that derive from this experience.Regardless of the future aspirations of youth, leadership opportunities can help all youth develop the skills they will need in the workforce and for a lifetime of making good decisions and actions to make an impact in lives of others.
The workshop began with the team building games facilitated by Ms. Akanksha Sharma, RGNIYD-RC followed by the sessions on Understanding self- analysis of weakness and strengths, identifying leadership traits through YES game and personality analysis assignment. Both the sessions were facilitated by Ms. Shubhi Mehta, Experiential trainer,Exper & Mr. Saurabh Mehta, Experiential trainer, Exper. The participants were thoroughly engaged in the learning process and were excited to implement the learnings in real life situations.
